On Thursday morning, Russian occupation forces attacked railway infrastructure, so a number of trains will be delayed.

In particular, the invaders damaged a section of the railway in the Kozyatyn area, so trains on the Kyiv-Lviv route were temporarily detoured, but it has now been repaired,  the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia reports .

At the same time, on one of the sections, trains will run under backup diesel locomotives, as infrastructure restoration is still ongoing.

In addition, Russian troops destroyed one of the Hyundai trains, but this did not affect the number of Intercity+ flights today and tomorrow , the company assured.

Oleksandr Pertsovsky, Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia, clarified that the Intercity train, which was supposed to depart on the Kyiv-Kharkiv route today, was damaged.

“The strike is targeted. Exclusively civilian passenger operations. We will restore and expand the fleet despite everything. And now – we are not canceling flights, passenger cars will be on the route, including those that have just been received from the factory,” the company’s head commented on Facebook, publishing the consequences of the hits.

It was previously reported that Ukrzaliznytsia has noticed a decrease in demand for tickets . But on popular routes, it exceeds the number of seats by 4-6 times.
