On June 3, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Russian serviceman Tatyana Kuzmenko to eight years in prison with a two-year suspension in a high treason case. This is reported by TASS, referring to the press service of the court.
Kuzmenko was given a reprieve until her child born in 2009 reaches the age of 14, says Interfax.
The plot of the criminal case against Kuzmenko was not disclosed. According to the press service of the court, the serviceman pleaded guilty to high treason. Her case was considered in a special order, that is, without examining the evidence. The trial took place behind closed doors due to the fact that the case contains materials classified as “top secret”. The state prosecutor asked to sentence Kuzmenko to 12 years in prison.
