Amid a surge in xenophobia in russia, Patriarch of the russian Orthodox Church, Kirill (Gundyayev), stated that “russian nationalism does not exist”. This was his response to the terrorist attack at the Krokus City Hall and anti-immigrant sentiments among russians.
“Let no one frighten us with Russian nationalism. Russian nationalism does not exist in nature, everyone knows that”, – his words were quoted by russian media.
“Surrounding us are fraternal peoples with whom we have always sought to build good neighborly relations”, – he said.
As reported earlier, a native of Yakutia was attacked by russian neo-Nazis in the moscow metro.
