As a result of the Russian combined strike on Kyiv on July 31, a young family from Sloviansk died – 23-year-old Mykyta and Sofia Lamekhov (the woman was pregnant) and their 2-year-old son Lev.

This was reported by the Slavyansk City Military-Civil Administration, Censor.NET reports .

“A young family from Slavyansk died in Kyiv. The tragedy occurred during a massive Russian attack on July 31. A nighttime enemy strike on a nine-story building in the Sviatoshynskyi district of the capital claimed the lives of 31 people, including five children. A family of our countrymen lived in the destroyed entrance: 23-year-old Nikita and Sofia Lamekhov, their 2-year-old son Lev, and an unborn child. Sofia was pregnant,” the report says.

As noted, Nikita and Sofia left Sloviansk for Kyiv in the summer of 2022. They were born in Sloviansk in 2002. After being evacuated to Kyiv in 2022, the young people got married. In the same year, their son was born. Sofia was on maternity leave, Nikita worked as a security guard at an ATB chain store.

The family rented an apartment on the 5th floor of a high-rise building. The rocket hit their entrance. The bodies of the deceased were found under the rubble only a day later.

It is reported that the family will be buried in their native Slavyansk. Sofia is survived by her parents, three younger brothers, and two grandmothers. Nikita is survived by his mother, father, grandmother, and younger sister.

As a reminder, on the night of July 31, the enemy attacked Kyiv with missiles and drones. The Sviatoshynskyi and Solomyanskyi districts were the most affected.
