Moscow will most likely not accept the amendments to the US peace plan that Ukraine and Europe will make . This was stated by Yuri Ushakov, an assistant to the Russian president, in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
“I think that the contribution of Ukrainians and Europeans to these papers is unlikely to be constructive. If there are appropriate amendments, we will have very sharp objections… It is unlikely that there will be anything good there,” he said.
He also stated that the “Korean” model of creating a demilitarized zone in Ukraine was not considered and was never discussed at the negotiations. Ushakov also stated that Ukraine will not be able to “reinforce” Crimea and join NATO.
