Jamala is not going to remain silent about the completely illegal actions of the Russian occupiers.

Ukrainian singer, winner of the international song contest Eurovision-2016, Jamala reported that the Russian occupation authorities intend to build a sanatorium for the Russian army on the site of her parents’ house in Crimea that was confiscated. As reported by a UNIAN correspondent, the singer said this at a briefing for journalists.

“Literally the other day, the occupation authorities announced that they were taking my parents’ house, my grandfather’s house, and wanted to make a sanatorium there for the Russian military. Of course, you and I understand that the legality of these actions or human rights are not in question in the occupied territories “, Jamala said.

The singer believes that the Russian occupation authorities in Crimea would like her to remain silent about this.

“But I cannot afford and do not want to not talk about this, because this is such a message to all Ukrainians, all Crimean Tatars, that they (Russians) can do whatever they want in broad daylight in the 21st century,” Jamala emphasized.

She noted that it is important to talk about illegal actions and human rights, no matter what.

Jamala’s parents’ house in Crimea – what is known

As UNIAN reported, the occupation authorities in Crimea took away two plots of land in Alushta from the artist’s parents , as well as several other properties that are not yet being talked about. The Russians have already managed to sell real estate and make money from the Ukrainians in order to provide for their bloody army.

“Recently, news appeared that the local authorities are taking away my parents’ house in Crimea without any reason. This is terrible and painful news for our entire family. How can we understand that such chaos is happening in the civilized world: first they occupy a territory, and then they take away everything there?! This is repression, this is deportation in modern times! This once again demonstrates the arbitrary exercise of power by the Russian authorities,” Jamala noted at the time.
