According to the minister, Ukrenergo’s dispatcher has activated a request for emergency assistance from Poland.

On February 7, Russian occupiers carried out another massive attack on Ukrainian energy facilities, Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal announced .
“Substations and 750 kV and 330 kV overhead power lines—the backbone of Ukraine’s power grid—were targeted. The enemy also struck power generation facilities: the Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant and the Dobrotvir Thermal Power Plant,” he noted.
According to the minister, the NPP units have been relieved of personnel. Currently, 4.5-5 emergency shutdown schedules are in effect across Ukraine, with special emergency shutdown schedules in place in the eastern and northern regions.
“The attack continues. Power workers are ready to begin restoration as soon as the security situation allows. Ukrenergo’s dispatcher has activated a request for emergency assistance from Poland. Thank you for the resilience and heroism of our military and power workers,” Shmyhal added.
