Anne Applebaum spoke about how the West should act to bring long-awaited peace not only to Europe, but also to the world.

Iran wants to take advantage of the moment while the US and Europe are too busy with the war in Ukraine, in the confrontation against Israel, said the famous journalist Anne Applebaum, the wife of Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski .

In an interview with Welt , she noted that Europe has limited diplomatic and military influence in the Middle East, so EU countries need to focus on confronting Russia, determining the final outcome of the war in Ukraine and defeating ally Iran in order to weaken the power of the “autocratic alliance.”

Asked what exactly Russia is now, Applebaum said it is “a country in decline”:

“A dying country that is fundamentally unstable. Not only do we not know who the next leader will be, we don’t even know who will choose him. So whenever there is a change at the top, for whatever reason, there will be a crisis.”

In addition, the journalist believes that the biggest threat so far is that Ukraine’s defeat will change power in Europe and the world. And this, according to her, is Putin’s main goal.

“Our belief that Ukraine cannot win is the reason why it has not won yet,” she emphasized. And she added that, in addition to this, there is all the evidence that Russia manages to advise Hamas in its aggression against Israel, as well as help Iran in its nuclear program.

Unfortunately, Anne and everyone else will have to wait for quite some time before we have leaders in place to accomplish what is necessary. We can forget the current collection of clowns and especially what will happen in the US, where the maga gangsters along with their russian bosses are ruining the political landscape.
