The State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation called the attack an “act of nuclear terrorism.”

During the bombing on March 6, the invaders destroyed the substation RU-0.4 kV / photo of the State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation of Ukraine

On the evening of March 10, the Russian military bombarded the Source of Neutrons nuclear research facility located at the site of the National Scientific Center “Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology” in Kharkov.

This was reported by the  State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation of Ukraine .

“Once again, the Russian Federation has committed an act of nuclear terrorism!!! … According to preliminary information, the Neutron Source YaPU is completely de-energized, there are superficial damages to the building. This list of damages is not yet complete. Now information about the consequences of damages is being specified by the staff,” – the message says.

“Source of neutrons” is intended for scientific and applied research in the field of nuclear physics, radiation materials science, biology, chemistry and for the production of medical radioisotopes. As UNIAN reported earlier, on March 6, the installation had already been bombed :

• the substation RU-0.4 kV was completely destroyed;
• the cables of the air conditioners of the cooling system of the cluster gallery of the linear electron accelerator were damaged;
• in some places there were surface damage to the main building of the installation;
• the heating main to the complex of buildings and structures of the YaPU “Source of Neutrons” was damaged;
• windows were shattered in the building of the pumping station and cooling towers, in the isotope laboratory.

“Before the start of the Russian aggression, the Istochnik Neutron nuclear facility was at the stage of physical launch, during which the core was loaded with fresh nuclear fuel.

On March 10, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the Russian Federation  was preparing another “terrible operation under a false flag . ” According to the head of the Foreign Ministry, Russia’s mania for spreading fakes about biological and chemical weapons “causes deep concern.”
