Nebenzya noted that North Korea is a close partner of Russia.

Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, stated that the transfer of soldiers from the DPRK to Russia  is “disinformation” aimed at “justifying NATO’s decision to send its troops” to Ukraine.

This cynical statement from the Russian representative was made during a meeting of the UN Security Council dedicated to the involvement of soldiers from North Korea in Russia’s war against Ukraine.

“As for the transfer of DPRK troops to Russia, this is disinformation. The show we saw today is an attempt to justify our own decision to send NATO troops to support the “regime” of the Ukrainian president,” Nebenzya said.

He added that the DPRK is a close partner of Russia, and Moscow is “open” to cooperation with Pyongyang.

“Our interaction is transparent. This is our sovereign right. I would like to emphasize that the interaction of the Russian Federation with the DPRK in military and other spheres does not violate international law, since such cooperation is not directed against a third country,” said the representative of the aggressor country.
