On the night of September 23–24, russian forces attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles. Two people were killed and six others were injured in the strike. Four of the injured were hospitalized, and two of them are in serious condition. This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
In the Dniprovskyi district, missile debris fell on private residential properties. One of the houses sustained partial damage. Preliminary reports suggest that people may have been trapped under the rubble. Debris also fell at two other locations.
In the Podilskyi district, debris struck a parking lot near a medical facility. Cars caught fire, and one person was killed in the parking lot.
A maternity hospital is located near the site where the debris fell. Its windows and part of the facade were damaged. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties among the patients or staff of the medical facility. A nearby clinical and diagnostic center was also damaged.
In the Darnytskyi district, a piece of a missile fell onto the roadway.
Emergency services continue to work at the sites where the debris fell and are dealing with the aftermath of the russian attack.
As of 3:08 am, two deaths and six injuries had been reported in Kyiv. Four of the injured were hospitalized; two are in critical condition.
Earlier reports indicated that during the shelling of Kyiv on September 23, the enemy once again targeted the Darnytsia pharmaceutical plant, among other sites.
The attack on the plant occurred amid a large-scale drone strike on Kyiv – fires were reported at gas stations, warehouses, and transportation infrastructure facilities, as well as damage to the data centers of several internet service providers, leaving some Kyiv residents without internet access. As of this morning, the number of people injured in the attack had risen to 13, with one fatality.
