The official noted that this station provided communications for the entire region, including Ukraine. According to Gavkovsky, the systems are now operating normally.

“The fire engulfed the power station and generator; it is clear that this act of sabotage was deliberately planned to disable the station – effectively cutting off the internet connection… and disrupting internet access for various institutions, including the Ukrainian military,” he said.

He added that it has not yet been established that Russia is directly involved in the fire. However, he noted that “many indications indicate that this is consistent with Russia’s new attack doctrine.”

The publication notes that since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Poland has been on high alert for acts of sabotage by Russia. The journalists also recall the recent statements of the Polish Prime Minister, who stated that such acts of sabotage are part of Russia’s hybrid warfare.
