Since the evening of Wednesday, July 16, there have been complaints in Russia and in the Crimea it has occupied about a UAV attack. Explosions have been reported, and the Russians have also announced a death, injuries, and destruction.
According to reports from Russian media and local authorities, it was noisy in
Belgorod. Several explosions were heard there, and enemy air defenses were working on drones.
One person was killed and six others were injured, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said earlier. Several homes were damaged, he said.
At least four explosions have rocked Voronezh . Local residents said there was unrest in the Leninsky district. According to them, the loud sound “shook the glass in the window frames” and flashes were visible in the sky.
According to the head of the region, Alexander Gusev, fragments of one of the drones hit a high-rise building in Voronezh, resulting in three injuries.
The air defense system also operated against UAVs in the Bryansk, Smolensk, and Oryol regions.
A map of drone movements was published online, showing the approximate routes of their movement towards Crimea and Russian regions.
On the occupied peninsula, two powerful explosions were heard in the Kerch area.
Meanwhile, flight restrictions were imposed at Kaluga Airport, and flights at Vnukovo Airport were also delayed. Later, it became known that three UAVs were allegedly shot down on their approach to Moscow.
As OBOZ.UA reported, on July 15, complaints were made in Russia about drone attacks, particularly in the Lipetsk and Voronezh regions. In Voronezh, damage to apartments was reported due to a drone being shot down, and in the city of Yelets, the Energia plant was once again targeted.
