US Special Representative Keith Kellogg visited defense enterprises where Ukrainian drones are being developed and highly praised Ukraine’s potential in this area, he wrote in a post on the social network X.
“I saw with my own eyes how Ukrainian drones are produced and developed. Incredible innovation, especially in the field of drones,” Kellogg wrote.
At the same time, he emphasized that Ukraine is leading in this new type of drone warfare, and the US should pay attention to this.
“In this new era/type of war, they are leading the way. Their speed of innovation and ability to repurpose is impressive. Our defense industrial base must take this into account and adapt,” Kellogg emphasized.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the United States wants to buy drones made in Ukraine. According to the head of state, this issue was discussed during a conversation with Donald Trump.
Kellogg’s visit to Ukraine
Keith Kellogg arrived in Ukraine on July 14. He is expected to spend several days in the country. In Ukraine, Kellogg is to receive data on the potential of the Russian army and the prospects of the Ukrainian army.
In Kyiv, Kellogg held a number of meetings, including with President Zelensky, during which they discussed Trump’s agreement with NATO to supply weapons to Ukraine.
