Russia allocates 65 million dollars to ensure water supply in Crimea

Also, the Russian Federation intends to allocate $ 11 million for the overhaul of water pipelines

The Russian government has allocated 4.95 billion rubles ($ 65 million) to provide water supply in Crimea. The corresponding order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the press service of the Russian government reports.

“The Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol will receive 4.95 billion rubles for the creation of new water supply facilities,” the message says.

The Russian Federation will allocate funds for the construction of a water intake on the Belbek River with treatment engineering facilities, as well as for infrastructure for the transfer of water from the Kadykovsky quarry.

In addition, Russia intends to allocate $ 11 million for capital repairs of water pipelines and the development of additional wells.

Earlier it became known that reservoirs in the Crimea were shallow as a result of drought. So, in Simferopol, in Bakhchisarai and Simferopol regions, severe restrictions on water consumption were introduced.

In Crimea, annexed by Russia, five rivers, supplying fresh water to reservoirs for drinking water on the peninsula, dried up as a whole. We are talking about the rivers Kacha, Alma, Chernaya, Belbek, Tonas, which were dehydrated due to low rainfall over the past three months.

Ukraine provided up to 85% of Crimea’s needs for fresh water through the North Crimean Canal, which connects the main channel of the Dnipro with the peninsula. After the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014, the supply of water to Crimea was stopped.

  1. 50% will be stolen……………………..and repairing a few tubes does not mean more water…………………..hahaha

  2. Given past performance.

    Work will begin in 2050.

In 2035 Shorty will announce that they have invented something better than Water and the Pipeline isn’t needed.

In 2040, hoping the people have forgotten, Shorty announces the allocation of 5 billion rubles blah blah blah.

In 2051 Shorty announces work is ahead of schedule.

In 2053 Shorty announces work is complete and Crimea has so much Water they have to drain it into the Azov Sea.

In 2055 a brave journalist exposes the whole episode as a lie, shortly afterward committing suicide.

In 2080 Shorty announces work is due to start on a 2nd new pipeline supplying water to Crimea. The first never having been built as the 5 Billion rubles disappeared.

  3. This indicates a high level of desperation.
The money is by far not enough and the measures are … pipes dreams. Pardon the pun.

What is wrong with these two statements?
“The Russian Federation will allocate funds for the construction of a water intake on the Belbek River…”
“We are talking about the rivers Kacha, Alma, Chernaya, Belbek, Tonas, which were dehydrated…”
They want to increase the taking of water from a river that is down to a trickle?
Clearly, these guys have injected too much krokodil.
