Moscow was informed that if there is no progress in the negotiations, the US Congress will pass a law on sanctions
United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Russia and Ukraine will prepare their proposals for the terms of a ceasefire on the front.
“Lavrov (Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, – ed.) told me that Moscow will prepare a document outlining its demands for a ceasefire in Ukraine. The Ukrainian side will work on its own proposal for a ceasefire, and we hope to present it in the near future,” Clash Report quotes him as saying .
He noted that if these documents contain “realistic ideas”, progress will be achieved.
“Otherwise, we will have a different assessment. There are other issues that we need to address, and we do not want to continue endless negotiations on Ukraine,” Rubio added.
The US Secretary of State also spoke about sanctions against Russia.
“We asked the Senate to give us some time to see if we can make progress in the negotiations on Ukraine. If no progress is made, the Senate will pass a bill on sanctions against Russia,” he explained.
According to him, Washington has already informed Moscow that if no progress is made in negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine, Congress will pass a law on sanctions.

French President Emmanuel Macron has reacted to the Russian terrorist attack on the Sumy region , where the occupiers attacked a bus with civilians. The French leader recalled that recently he and the leaders of a number of countries in Kyiv had called on Trump to increase pressure on Russia and condemn its unwillingness to cease fire.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Rubio said that Trump wants to meet with Putin as soon as possible . It is not yet known where and when this meeting will take place.

Seems to me that asking for more time *is* controlling it. More unnecessary delay from the trumpkov administration. What happened to trumpkov being on board with demanding an unconditional 30-day ceasefire or hitting ruzzia with “massive” new sanctions? That was a week ago.

This is something that the orange gangster more or less has; power to stop things in Congress or to control it. That’s why he’s been permitted to act like a dictator. But, I suppose there are still some Congressmen and women (Rep. ones) who have something like a spine and see the urgent need to slam more sanctions on Trump’s boyfriend.
