Thank You for Standing With Ukraine https://ukrainesupport…
In January 2022, Marco Rubio warned that Vladimir Putin was deliberately setting negotiations up to fail as a pretext to invade Ukraine. Now listen to Rubio as Secretary of State. His own words raise a question Washington cannot simply brush aside: What changed?
Rubio says he doesn’t think anyone at the meeting is claiming a negotiated settlement is imminent. President Donald Trump, meanwhile, says a Ukraine-Russia deal is “very close.” I play those statements alongside an earlier White House exchange with Rubio seated beside Trump. Listen carefully to what each man actually says—and to the gap between the administration’s messaging and the war Ukraine is still fighting.
Then comes the 2022 recording. Rubio warned against appeasement, argued for serious sanctions, defended the Ukrainians’ right to resist Russian occupation, and explained why Putin’s aggression would have consequences far beyond Ukraine. Putin is the aggressor and the root cause of this war. The question is whether American leadership still speaks with the clarity Rubio himself demonstrated before the full-scale invasion.
