🩸 Ukraine war footage from inside the siege of Pokrovsk: Ukrainian drone pilots spent half a year fighting in an encircled city and show what the front line really looks like. Russia lost more than 100,000 assault troops trying to take Pokrovsk — as many people as lived in the city and neighboring Myrnohrad before the war. Daily glide bombs, Russian sabotage groups slipping around their positions, and a fighting withdrawal through enemy lines — the reality of the Russia-Ukraine war that TV won’t show you.
📊 What Pokrovsk cost Russia:
- 23 months of fighting and three Russian armies thrown at one city
- 7,000 killed in January 2025 alone — more than in the entire First Chechen War
- up to 156 glide bombs in a single day — half of all Russian air strikes on the whole front
- an advance of roughly 70 meters a day
🚁 The siege through the eyes of drone pilots Pilots of the 155th Mechanized Brigade “Anne of Kyiv” stayed in Pokrovsk until the end of October 2025 with only short rotations. They flew reconnaissance and strike missions, and saw everything happening in the city from above.
When they arrived in May, logistics were already hard — but you could still drive into town. Leaving in October was a completely different story.
Every day brought new air strikes: Russian glide bombs (KABs) leveled the city block by block. Russian infantry attacked in waves, regardless of losses. Swarms of FPV drones cut supply lines, and enemy sabotage groups were already working around the pilots’ positions.
The pilots kept hitting the enemy until they ran out of ammunition. Then they flew reconnaissance. When it became nearly impossible to bring fuel for their generator, they shut down the position and planned their way out.
💥 On the way out, the bomber drone pilots set a trap: they gathered all their unused explosives, pulled back, let Russian troops move into the building — and blew it up. They filmed it with a thermal camera. Watch what happened next.
🔥 To get out, the team had to move right past Russian positions and fight their way through. Drone pilots aren’t assault infantry, but they have discipline and know how to plan. How they made it out, how one of them was wounded by a mine, and how they carried him for kilometers — it’s all in the video.
