Russian businessman and co-founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov said he was ready to testify about an alleged attempt to interfere in the Romanian presidential election .

The leader of the far-right Alliance for the Union of Romanians party, Gheorghe Simion, has called on  the country’s Constitutional Court to annul the presidential election due to foreign interference. According to the presidential candidate, he allegedly already has evidence of these violations:

“Neither France, nor Moldova, nor anyone else has the right to interfere in the elections of another state. To all Romanians: urgently appeal to the Constitutional Court to cancel this farce. We will not surrender or betray! This is just the beginning of a great victory!”

Durov reposted this post on the microblog X , writing the following: “I am ready to come and testify if it helps Romanian democracy.”
