As Censor.NET reports , this was announced by the chairman of the supervisory board of Plast NSOU in 2018-2023, historian Yuriy Yuzych.

In the Plast movement, he went through all possible training and positions – from the founder of the Cherkasy branch to the co-chairman of Plast.

In 1998-2002, he was alternately elected as a clerk, then a youth referent, and then a referent of the senior Plast branch of Plast in Cherkasy. In 2003, he was elected as a village head of the village of Cherkasy, in the next term – as deputy chairman of the local Plast council, then as chairman of this council.

In 2003-2006 – Regional Representative of Plast in Cherkasy Region. From 2010 to 2013 – Deputy Chairman of Plast in Ukraine, responsible for cooperation with state authorities and finances. It was he who organized the renewal of the cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Education of Ukraine. In 2018-2023 – Member of the Regional Audit Commission for which he reported at the 16th Congress of Plast, having arrived from the hospital with a front-line wound.

Roman Oryshchenko died

Co-organizer, doctor and instructor of the youth scout training camps of the Yaroslav the Wise (Cherkasy) in 2002 and 2003.

In 2005-2010, he was the organizer of popular regional youth equestrian sports camps in Plast. He was the deputy commandant and head of the “Jury” educational program in the Zolotonish district of Cherkasy region.

In 2006-2007, he worked in the Main Department for Internal Policy of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration. He was the Chief Specialist of the Department of Relations with Political Entities, Public Associations and Sociological Research of the Department of Socio-Political Analysis and Forecasting.

In 2007, he moved to Kyiv, where he worked in the socio-political sphere for many years, starting as the chief specialist of the Eastern region of the regional department of the “People’s Union Our Ukraine”.

In 2010-2011, he was the first deputy head of the executive committee, head of the regional work department of the public initiative “Renewal of the Country” headed by the former head of the SBU Nalyvaichenko (later – head of the executive committee). Maidan Self-Defense

“Everyone knew him, but they certainly didn’t write about him in the news. In 2004, he was the coordinator of students and activists who came to Maidan from Cherkasy as part of one of the youth movements resisting the dictatorship. And in 2013, he was the one who brought the first sound equipment to Euromaidan, which was just beginning, in his car,” the post says.

In the winter of 2013-2014, he was one of the key creators of the Maidan Self-Defense. It was he, in the “narrow headquarters” of the self-defense forces, based in the Trade Unions, who was responsible for the deployment and support of resistance networks in the regions. Later, for this work, he received the Order “For Courage”. When the whole country wanted to know who created the “Donbas” battalion, Roman calmly told in private who and for what. Because he knew him back when the Self-Defense was being born.

When most of them volunteered for the front, he couldn’t… Too much was tied up in Kyiv. Later, he scolded himself for it and, unexpectedly for many, went to get a higher education as an infantry officer. The war was turning into the “ATO”, and Roman was quite seriously preparing for a full-scale invasion.

Service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

He signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, although he could have done it without doing it. He didn’t want to be a “jacket”, he wanted to undergo real combat training. And at the same time, he developed himself and his surroundings in those areas that he considered critically important. He launched radio schools in Plast, prepared and published relevant manuals for youth and adults. He knew the Plast method well and used it even in the army. When he was asked to become a company commander, he first trained the team, as in a Plast camp. Deputies in various directions who would not let him down.

Roman Oryshchenko died

In February 2022, Captain Roman Oryshchenko met the enemy as a platoon commander of the 72nd Brigade north of Kyiv.

Roman did not get out of the landings near Vugledar. Once, after being wounded, I asked him, when the medals were already pouring in more or less standardly, whether he had received anything yet. He joked that there was nothing and that he did not think about it. He thought about the boys. He became a company commander in his native brigade of the “Black Cossacks”. He was offered to transfer to a calmer regime, but he refused. He always accepted the most difficult challenges and successfully coped with them. In the meantime, he even defended his PhD thesis on the history of the Ukrainian Church.

“Condolences to his wife Svitlana, children, family and friends,” Yuzych emphasized. Джерело: https://censor.net/ua/n3561329
