With SNAP benefits set to run dry this coming weekend, half of the states in this country (25) have joined in a lawsuit against the Trump administration for refusing to use the contingency fund for SNAP to prevent benefits from expiring and residents from going hungry. This total includes several deep red states that overwhelmingly voted for Trump, but even they can’t deny the fact that HE is the one responsible for the benefits running dry – NOT the Democrats as Trump claims. And yet our representatives get 79$ a day for meals, while the average SNAP recipient gets $6.75 a day.
$6.75 a day won’t buy much.
Yeah, we’re talking about a pack of lunch meat, a loaf of bread, some cheap chips and perhaps a bottle of juice or soda and needing to get three meals out of it 😠
$0 a day buys even less.
“You don’t get to eat until the Democrats let us take away your healthcare” is the Republican message in Congress right now.
There is an emergency back up fund for SNAP, exactly for the current situation, but MAGA refuses to use it. All the past shutdowns have never stopped SNAP benefits up until this administration’s choice to do so.

But the orange criminal is raking in the bucks through his corruption, and so do his family. This is a crime syndicate.
The people get the government they deserve. I have no compassion for anyone who voted for this fascist and goes hungry.
I feel sorry for the children who go hungry – they had no choicer in the matter.
Their parents are responsible for their fate.
