So, it’s normal? To come, kill, torture, rape, occupy territories, and then say “ok, now let’s talk about peace”? If yes, then why others can’t do the same, if the world is so impotent and nothing happens to mass murderers?

·       6 million Ukrainians live in the occupied territories. Who will tell them, “sorry, no one will  come for you”? And another 5 million who left that area, so someone should say them “well, you won’t get your home back, just live with it”.

·       How do you guarantee that Russia won’t attack again somewhere in 2027, and won’t force some of those 6 millions to fight against us under the threat of executions? What will you do then? Express deep concern again?

It is so plain simple: give Ukraine enough weapons to kick them out, cut Russia from world finances and trade, and they won’t last long. Russia is a small country even though it looks big. It’s economy is smaller than Texas or Italy, but it is much worse as it produces nothing. It just pumps and digs the natural resources and sells them. Their hi-tech weaponry is made of WESTERN components. Their army is incompetent and fights with numbers, not skill. Ukraine can resist them, and already eliminated or wounded half a million of their soldiers and destroyed over 7000 tanks with a small fraction of Western weapons. We got ATACAMs rockets just recently, but we are still not allowed to strike military objects on Russian territory with them. We still have no F16. We do not even dream of more advanced weapons that could wipe Russian army in a week. The war could be over if Ukraine got enough weapons in time. Instead, the presidential candidate of the most powerful country in the world says he will push us to give up our territory, and our people just to have a pause for several years before the next nightmare. I do not get it, seriously…

With such approach that the world correctly had, let’s wait for more Ukraines…

All these “peace proposers” just want to avoid the responsibility of taking the siides and wish to look good in their own eyes. They don’t want to learn the topic – one has to really dig into Soviet and old Russian history besides the modern one to understand why things are like they are. They are ignorant in general history and politics – they even do not remember that appeasement of evil ends with its attack. They are feared – those who are intellectually lazy are always easy prey for evil propaganda. They are indecisive – because they are feared.
The best strategy in my opinion is to continue explaining that these peace plans today will lead the bigger war on their own doorsteps. Fear can be combated only with bigger fear.
Those who will let putin and russia go away now will fight themselves with russian attacks in a few years.
I’m afarid that these intellectually lazy, the feared, won’t answer your question and will only lock themselves deeper in the shell of cowardice under the pretend “I don’t want people to die!” as if it’s Ukriane which wants war… They will only wake up when russian missiles will hit them.

I just had this conversation with a fellow “defeatist negotiation Ukraine” type of American today. I basically asked them if they would give up parts of America after fighting for ten years ? I also reminded them Ukrainians did not attack anybody and that the French helped USA in their war of of independence.

Russian aggression should be viewed as a totalitarian virus that mut be stopped no matter the cost.

I don’t get it either, Volodymyr. It is as if everyone in the West is living in an alternate reality while Ukraine is doing everything every day to survive.

Henrik Norstrom

Totally support you in your arguments, Volodymyr. There’s only one peace negotiation, total surrender and disarmament of moscovia, plus full payment of damages and prosecution for the crimes committed.

The WORLD is committing genocide on the Ukrainian people by their obsequiousness to Putin, their joint cowardice and lack of resolve! It’s plain to see, they just don’t care, out of sight, out of mind!

Marijn Markus

They don’t plead for peace
But for surrender.

Surrendering 6 million lives to the russian aggressor

The world needs to get more serious with this. Stop all free movement of all Russian citizens, freeze any bank account of any Russian in western banks. Stop all imports (embargo) Russia. Starve them out, and punish the whole country. Stop their ability to access any banking around the world.  Until the people of Russia remove Putin ( as it always has been done) he will stay being the war criminal he is. The western world needs to give Ukraine everything they need. A no fly zone would shut down Russia pretty quickly.

It’s not normal, but many – too many – are too willing to accept evilness if it means cheap gas and business as usual.
