Russia has now lost four elections in a row: in Romania, Moldova, Hungary, and now Armenia.
What’s more, no one expected the margin in Armenia to be so large. This suggests that Armenians have lost faith in Russia and are distancing themselves from it.
I do not believe Russia will take military action against Armenia. The military base poses no threat, and Russia itself is exhausted by the war it is waging against Ukraine.
Through its heroic resistance, Ukraine is also giving other nations and states a chance to break free from Russia.
I believe Georgia may be next in attempting to remove pro-Russian forces.
Armenia’s break with Russia will strengthen Turkey and its influence in the region. That is good news.
In addition, sources believe that the defeat in Armenia could be used by the Kremlin to oust the so-called “Armenian lobby” within the Russian leadership: to weaken, remove its members from office, and cut them off from financial flows.
The main names mentioned are Mikhail Mishustin, Russian prime minister, and Sergey Lavrov, Russian foreign minister.
Russia continues to lose ground and its influence.

In May, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated more territory than they lost — the difference is approximately 100 km², reported Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
He says the situation on the front is dynamic: the russians are pressing in the east and south, and there are more battles now. The fiercest fighting is currently on the Pokrovsk, Oleksandrivka, and Huliaipole directions.
Syrskyi adds that since the beginning of the year, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already liberated over 600 km².

The leaders of Ukraine, the United Kingdom, France and Germany have agreed on five conditions for a sustainable peace.
- A complete ceasefire is a necessary precondition for launching a peace process.
- The current front line should serve as the baseline for future negotiations between the parties.
- Once a ceasefire takes effect, Ukraine must receive reliable and legally binding security guarantees based on commitments made in Berlin in December 2025 and Paris in January 2026. These would include the deployment of multinational forces in Ukraine.
- Russian assets will remain frozen until russia ends its war of aggression and compensates Ukraine for the damage it has caused.
- Any agreement must protect European security interests. Any negotiations involving the EU and NATO will require the consent of the EU and its member states, as well as NATO allies.

I don’t see how they can. The ruling dictatorship won’t do that. It’s too busy suppressing its own people. In any case, Georgia is too small to inflict any damage on putlerstan without massive help.
And unfortunately Georgia has no reliable friends.

Turkey and Azerbaijan are increasing their cooperation.
Turkey has reasonably cordial relations with Georgia.
Many Georgians supported Azerbaijan over the Nagorno Karabakh issue. Simply because it is in fact Azeri land. The Armenians were inserted there by ruZZia as part of the old “divide and conquer” strategy.
