‘Destroying the USA and the western alliance more effectively than any war.’
For ten years I have been warning that Donald Trump is a Russian asset and the greatest risk to world peace. To me and to many others the truth was always obvious and clear. However, the shadow of what politicians call ‘real politic’ or ‘knowing the big picture’ always convinced the public they (the politicians) knew more than they were letting on, and we would have to trust them to do the right thing.
During those years, our trusting world has watched while a psychopathic criminal and his supporting crew have systematically destroyed alliances which have protected the democracies from another world war.
For eighty years the NATO nations enjoyed the protection and unity the USA provided. It isn’t a progressive series of coincidences that placed Trump in the Oval Office. Trump is the successful result of a well organised operation to destroy western democracy. It takes money, cunning and longevity to bring together such a plan. The Russians have been experts at subterfuge since the conception of the Soviet Union and most probably they were also experts under the Tsars.
Soviet Union Russia always regarded the rest of the word as its enemy. After the discovery of nuclear weapons, outright war and mutually assured destruction were unthinkable. Minor wars of influence, and economic contests have dominated for the past eighty years, but while all that was going on, cunning minds searched for other ways to undermine the strength of the west.
Opportunities arose when border restrictions were removed. Mass immigrations from distant lands did not simply germinate. The money and infrastructure for the movement of large numbers of people had to be installed. Boats, engines, trucks, drivers, false papers, and even well-paid lawyers have all been an effective method of undermining and abusing western tolerance. Asylum laws were enacted to welcome small numbers of political refugees from behind the iron curtain, not to manage every refugee from every war five thousand miles away. Our decency was used against us; we have been beaten with our own generosity. Tolerance is not for the appeasement of the intolerant.
Concentrated efforts have been made to undermine western democracy by funding extremist political groups to challenge the established order. It doesn’t take a new group of radicals to support such a move, it only takes greed. As national identities have become diluted, religion has become a weapon to create wars and manipulate the masses. People’s loyalties to one another, their country, and ancient belief systems have disappeared. Added to this was the arrival of the world wide web, where social media allowed a massive misinformation operation. The truth is invisible if it can be hidden among a million lies. When people don’t know what to believe they become disinterested and grow silent.
Today, the thinking public are disinterested and silent; they can’t be bothered to protest anymore, can’t be bothered to say ‘no,’ because their lonely, small voice has no supporting choir. People say they can’t be bothered with politics, but they complain about food and fuel prices every day. That’s politics. If they don’t do politics, then politics will do them. It will do them in! In the future historians will point towards Brexit as an example of foreign interference that undermined the stability and growth of the European Union and western democracy.
In the USA Trump has his new ‘Brownshirts’ rampaging across the country attacking the ‘enemy within,’ a disparaging term Hitler used to describe Jews as he encouraged their arrest, incarceration and execution. In the UK Nigel Farage is carefully following Trump’s lead, using the same anti-immigrant rhetoric while waving a national flag. Few pay attention to his anti-Ukraine comments despite his former Welsh leader getting ten years in prison for taking bribes from Russia. Fiko and Orban also joyfully join forces with Trump while supporting Putin against Ukraine. They are not alone.
Trump’s latest National Security Strategy paper made it absolutely clear Trump’s USA is rejecting its alliance with Europe and its membership of NATO for a new arrangement with Putin’s Russia. This has never been more obvious with Trump actively attempting to force Ukraine to surrender.
European leaders understand very well what Trump is, and they are prancing around trying to minimise the damage he is causing in a forlorn hope Republicans in the House of Representatives will find a way to bring his dictatorship to an end. They will not; they are frightened to speak out. A few have resigned and others are (according to rumour) preparing to resign. They are running away, refusing to do their job, and leaving the door open for new sycophants to take their places. In the US military the same can be said, instead of challenging Hegseth publicly, senior officers resign. The results of this can be seen in the murder of people in boats in the Caribbean Sea. Trump’s government can now execute anyone they suspect of committing a crime by using their armed forces.
The world knows it is impossible to massage a monster and impossible to appease a tyrant. The lunacy of the Trump regime cannot simply be explained away by blaming the mistaken election of an evil, demented, greedy fool. There is more to it. The Trump regime is Putin’s greatest gambit. It is destroying the USA and the western alliance more effectively than any war could do.
The focal point of this strategy is Ukraine. If Ukraine is forced into a demeaning surrender hiding behind expediency and a desire for peace, Putin will be regarded as a winner, Trump as a peacemaker and Ukraine as the sad loser, stuck between an embarrassed and shamed Europe, a confident and belligerent Russia acting in concert with USA. Between them they will divide the spoils of war and move onto new territories like Greenland and Canada.
The survival of European democracy depends completely on who wins in Ukraine. On one side we have a fighting Ukraine supported by the coalition of the willing with their immense wealth but weak military, and on the other two demagogues who rule by force and fear.
It is understandable why politicians refuse to respond to Trump’s public abuse in order not to play into the hands of people who are experts at projecting their own dark shadows onto anyone who stands up to them. Mark Carney in Canada, is finding new logistical links and customers in response to Trump’s threats. People adore those who stand up to bullies. Europe must do the same.
What is not understandable is to see well established journalists and media outlets refusing to take a strong position against the tyranny of Donald Trump. He isn’t just killing Ukraine; he is killing Europe and the USA! The time for an even-handed approach is over. It is time for our corporate media to take a position and speak out. The freedom of the press is also under attack. In the USA journalists, comedians and public speakers are threatened. Media corporations have their licences threatened if they refuse to end anti-Trump rhetoric on television.
Leadership begins with Integrity, closely followed by Courage and Example; ‘ICE.’ The people want to see more ICE and less tepid water. More inspiration; less respiration. Action not distraction.
Trump’s USA is now openly allied with Putin’s Russia. Both are adversaries to the free democratic world. Franklin Delano Roosevelt said, “We have nothing to fear but fear itself.” Frank Hwerbert wrote ‘Fear is the mind killer.’
The future of our free democratic world lies in the bloody fields of Ukraine. We give out treasure; they give their blood. We have a debt to pay. It is time to empty our pockets and win!

Agreed. The Krasnov regime hates Europe in its present form and wants to see what it calls “patriotic” parties ruling it. Such as AfD, National Rally, Reform, Fidesz etc.
How do we know this? It’s in the Krasnov “strategy document.”

Yesterday, Prof. Heather Cox Richardson wrote about the arrest of independent journalists Don Lemon (formerly of CNN) and Georgia Fort. An extract from her post:
The arrests of Lemon and Fort are windows into the deep concern of administration officials about how dramatically Americans have turned against ICE and the Trump administration. At its most basic level, the attack on two independent journalists is undoubtedly designed to intimidate other independent news producers from covering the Trump administration, particularly the violence of ICE and Border Patrol agents.
It is a dramatic assault on the First Amendment to the Constitution, which prohibits the government from curtailing the freedom of the press.
It is also a transparent attempt to change the popular narrative. The killing of two white American citizens—Renee Good and Alex Pretti—by federal agents hammered home to white Americans that they are as much at risk from the authoritarian system Trump is building as are Black Americans and people of color who are not citizens. With that realization—especially when administration officials, including Trump, blamed Pretti’s killing on the fact he carried a gun, although he did not use it—solidarity against the administration has been building, with white Americans often leading the way.
All four of the people arrested in the past 24 hours are Black. This morning, the official social media account of the White House posted a picture of Lemon with the caption: “When life gives you lemons…” and an emoji of chains, evoking the chains of enslavement.
In case this appeal to the MAGA base wasn’t clear enough, Attorney General Pam Bondi took to social media to highlight the religious claim behind this profound attack on the freedom of the press enshrined in the First Amendment. “Make no mistake,” she said. “Under President Trump’s leadership and this administration, you have the right to worship freely and safely. And if I haven’t been clear already, if you violate that sacred right, we are coming after you.”
The administration is appealing to the MAGA racist and Christian nationalist base by demonstrating that it is willing to violate the Constitution to impose MAGA’s ideology on the nation. But it is also apparently trying to signal to white American citizens that they should think they are safe from an authoritarian administration: its top victims remain Black Americans and people of color.
I’m so tired of that ‘White’ shit! The USSR eversince tried to stir up racial conflicts with the intention to destabilize the United States. Additionally they used their commie puppets in Latin America (except for Brazil) to flood the States with harddrugs. In Europe Putler’s puppets in Turkey and Germany (Erdogan & Merkel) flooded the continent with muZZlim assholes to destabilize Europe. BTW, i dislike many ‘whites’, in particular pruSSians, southern english, republican irish and hungarians.
Every country and people have their share of assholes, but some countries have a larger share. There’s hardly a ruskie on this planet I would throw a stick to if it were drowning in a shit nugget filled cesspool. I wouldn’t know anyway which is a shit nugget and which is the drowning creature.
The Taco administration is so fascist that you have to be a special kind of stupid not to see it. Unfortunately, we have a large horde of especially stupid assholes in our country. The rest of the nation must stick together to oppose this abhorrent development, especially come next November.
