Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed discussing the introduction of interim administration in Ukraine under the auspices of the UN and a number of countries in order to hold elections.
“In principle, of course, it would be possible, under the auspices of the UN, the USA, with European countries, of course, with our partners and friends, to discuss the possibility of establishing an interim administration in Ukraine. In order to hold democratic elections,” Putin said during a conversation with submariners of the nuclear submarine cruiser Arkhangelsk, the propaganda RIA Novosti reports .
The dictator added that with such a government, peace negotiations could begin and “legitimate documents that would be recognized worldwide and reliable” could be signed.
According to Putin, Russia is supposedly ready to work with Europe. At the same time, he added that the Europeans are “trying to lead Russia by the nose.”
Regarding Ukraine, the Russian ruler called the problem “Azov”, which “is acquiring de facto power.”
The White House responded to Putin’s statements. They reminded that the government in Ukraine is elected by the people, so there can be no talk of “interim administration.”
“The authority in Ukraine is determined by its constitution and the people of the country,” a White House National Security Council official said in a statement to Reuters , commenting on Putin’s fantasies.
