Putin orders liberation of Kursk region by October, – media

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has given his troops just over a month to push Ukrainian armed forces out of the captured territories of the Kursk region . As RBC-Ukraine reports , citing a source in the military-political leadership, the occupation forces received instructions from Putin to liberate the Kursk region by October 1.

It is noted that their task is to do this without removing forces from key areas where Russia is conducting an offensive in Donbass, primarily in the Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions.

In fact, the Russians are now trying to send a “mix” of units to the Kursk region from all directions on the front, except for Pokrovsky and Toretsky.

As Viktor Kevlyuk, an expert at the Center for Defense Strategies, said, in particular, two brigades were taken from the Zaporizhia region, and two airborne assault battalions were taken from the reserve from the Kherson direction. The 810th Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet, which was in the Kherson direction, and the 155th Marine Brigade, which fought near Ugledar, ended up in the Kursk region. Even conscripts called up in the spring of 2024 are being transferred.

This indicates that the enemy has an insufficient number of “free” forces and reserves, and also shows that limited successes in these two directions are more important for the Kremlin than regaining control over the Kursk region.

As much as I’d like a bullet in Putin’s head, I think we need to stop their success in gaining our territory. I speak as a non military guy but it seems so obvious to me.

Ah remember those hazy lazy days after 2014 when Trolls and propagandists assured us that if Ukraine so much as waved their private parts in Russia’s general direction they would blow the Ukraine off the face of the earth?
In a matter of seconds.
Times sure have changed.
Now Putin would rather lose the Sacred Soil of Mother Russia than delay his conquest of Donbas. He is barely acting like he cares about the Russian speakers in Russia.
Loves the them everywhere else though.
