The decisions made in February 2022 were correct and timely, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin stated during a meeting of the Russian Security Council, according to Russian media.
“The strategic initiative now rests entirely with the Russian Armed Forces. This year, we have liberated nearly 5,000 square kilometers of territory and 212 populated areas. The decisive role in this belongs to our soldiers and officers, who display the finest traits of Russian militancy, such as unquestioning loyalty and love for the homeland, a strong sense of duty, military camaraderie, and brotherhood in arms,” the Russian president noted cynically.
He also conveyed his “sincere gratitude to all personnel for the courage and heroism” that the Russian occupiers “display daily.”
Moreover, as quoted by Russian propagandists, Putin stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are allegedly retreating along the entire line of combat contact.
“The Kiev regime, seeking to demonstrate at least some success to its Western patrons, is striking civilian targets in the Russian Federation – this will not help it,” Russian media reported the dictator as saying.
