The Kremlin said it was grateful to the United States for inviting the Russian leader to the December G20 summit in Miami, but a final decision on Putin’s participation has not yet been made.
The Kremlin responded positively to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invitation to attend the Group of Twenty (G20) summit, scheduled for December in Miami.
The Russian leader’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, told Russian media that Moscow had received a corresponding invitation from the American side and that the decision would now be made with Putin’s participation.
“We received the corresponding invitation, we are grateful to the American side for this invitation, we welcome this invitation, and we will decide and then work on this issue through diplomatic channels,” Peskov said.
