The Russian occupation army launched a massive, combined attack on civilian infrastructure in the Odessa region, damaging a medical facility, food warehouses, and other facilities.

According to the press service of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office , on the night and morning of September 24, Russian armed forces attacked civilian infrastructure facilities in Odessa and the surrounding region with loitering munitions and attack drones.

In particular, the building of a hospital and a gymnasium, a warehouse, a two-story residential building and three private houses, as well as a shopping center, were damaged.

The attack resulted in the injuries of two civilians – an 82-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man, the press service added. An investigation has been launched into allegations of war crimes (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to Odesa Regional State Administration Chief Oleg Kiper, many civilian objects were hit.

“The attack damaged a 10-story non-residential building, a previously attacked shopping center, the roof of a city hospital department, and food warehouses. Windows of a high school and residential buildings were shattered, and cars were damaged,” the official noted.

According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Odessa region , the strike on the previously attacked shopping center caused a massive fire. Elsewhere, a two-story private residential building was also hit, causing a fire, injuring two people.

In Odessa, a 10-story non-residential building was damaged, followed by a fire. The roof of a seven-story city hospital branch building was also damaged, windows were blown out at an educational institution and four residential buildings, and three cars were damaged.

In the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky district of the region, windows were broken in three private residential buildings.

The State Emergency Service emphasized that rescuers’ work was hampered by repeated air raid sirens. More than 100 rescuers were deployed to deal with the aftermath of the enemy strikes.

Eyewitnesses on social media reported that “the New Line hypermarket has been destroyed.”
