These rooms have an identical appearance so that no one would guess where the Russian dictator is.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin runs the country from a network of purpose-built operational headquarters. From one of these bunkers, the Kremlin leader ordered the arrest of Evan Hershkovich on trumped-up espionage charges, according to a book by Drew Hinshaw and Joe Parkinson, The Times reports.

The article indicates that in March 2023, the Kremlin dictator joined a video call and agreed to the arrest of another US citizen.

The publication notes that Putin may be running Russia from several carefully planned similar conference rooms. The CIA cites data that there may be three such bunkers throughout Russia.

Each one is custom-built. In addition, all the bunkers are said to have identical designs, even the pencil holders on the wooden table are identical.

The publication notes that no details in the windowless rooms gave any clues about the Russian dictator’s whereabouts. Moreover, the publication says that Putin refused to use a mobile phone and very rarely used the Internet.

It is noteworthy that he held video meetings via a flat-screen monitor mounted on a stand with wheels. Therefore, as the publication notes, Russian officials from the Russian president’s inner circle often did not know from which of the 11 time zones Putin was calling them.

According to the data, there have been cases where the Russian president’s staff reported that he was supposedly leaving from one city to another, and then sent an empty motorcade to the airport and a decoy plane before Putin went to a video conference, pretending to be somewhere he wasn’t.

It is assumed that it is from these bunkers that Putin runs the country at war, gives orders to commanders on the front lines in Ukraine, and tightens restrictions in the country.
