Trump’s friendly stance towards Putin, on full display in the recent meeting of the two leaders, doesn’t reflect popular opinion in the U.S., says Putin foe Bill Browder. He recalls that, when he and Russian opposition leader Vladimir Kara-Murza lobbied for the Magnitsky Act in 2012, Marco Rubio was a close ally of theirs, but now, Rubio and elected Republicans are “completely scared of crossing Donald Trump.” “Putin’s biggest victory was the meeting itself,” adds Kara-Murza, arguing that Trump is undermining international pressure on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.

  1. To me, Rubio has lost all credibility. He allowed himself to be just another pathetic pawn on taco’s chess board … not saying the orange crook can play chess.

    • VKM referenced the 1975 Helsinki Accords, which Russia/USSR signed. The signatories all agreed to refrain from the threat of or the use of force concerning pre-agreed sovereign borders.

The Budapest Memorandum did the same thing, but also guaranteed the security of Ukraine’s borders.

There is no case whatsoever for giving Ukrainian land to invading Nazi scum. None.

Sir Bill revealed that his biggest supporter when establishing the Magnitsky Act was none other than Marco Rubio, who has now reinvented himself as just another putler-rimmer.

Btw, Sir Bill is a British citizen. I don’t know what his private politics are but I’d guess he’s right of centre. It was the Tories who got him his knighthood.

As a knight, he could be promoted to the House of Lords and given a newly-created cabinet post, such as The Minister For Ukrainian Affairs. There is no prominent western business person, politician, or media figure in the world who understands the workings of putler’s sick brain better than Bill, so this would be a good move.

Only recently Sir Bill said something on Times Radio that made some people recoil in horror or disbelief :

That putler is a stone-cold psychopath. “If babies were being murdered in front of him, his heart wouldn’t skip a beat.”

The sooner that those in decision-making roles understand this, the better.

      • “If babies were being murdered in front of him, his heart wouldn’t skip a beat.”

I believe it. The orange prick has no compassion at all.

        • I know what you mean facts.
But actually Sir Bill was referring to putler!
However, Krasnov’s niece Mary; a trained psychologist who has known Krasnov since she was a baby, has diagnosed Krasnov with ASPD (anti-social personality disorder.
          Sounds very likely.
