‘I breathed a sigh of relief’: Bill Browder dissects Zelenskyy’s meeting with Trump | LBC

Iain Dale is joined by Anti-corruption campaigner, Sir Bill Browder, also known as ‘Putin’s number one enemy’, to dissect Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s press conference with Donald Trump.

Browder describes last Friday’s summit with Vladimir Putin as surreal, highlighting Trump’s applause for an indicted war criminal and the troubling optics of American soldiers rolling out the red carpet for Putin.

However, he stresses that’s he’s pleased the Zelensky-Trump press conference has turned out to be more dignified than previous encounters

Browder also dismisses prospects of a trilateral meeting or genuine peace, arguing Putin has no intention of stopping the war.

He notes Russia’s economy is sustained by oil sales to China, India, and Turkey, suggesting targeted sanctions could bring Putin to the negotiating table within months.

  1. As Sir Bill says, putler is able to sustain his economy and his filthy war indefinitely, due to the $300 billion/yr coming in from oil purchases by China, India, Turkey and other shitholes that love genocide.
Therefore only secondary sanctions, backed with a huge influx of powerful weaponry, can force Putler to negotiate.
