The United States and Russia have begun discussing joint projects in the field of mineral extraction, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, said in an interview with Izvestia.

“Minerals are an important area for cooperation, and we have already started discussing various projects in this area on the territory of Russia,” the Russian official said, adding that a number of companies have already expressed interest.

The propaganda publication claims that the issue of cooperation may be discussed during the next round of Russian-American talks, which is scheduled for mid-April in Saudi Arabia.
