The strike on the St. Petersburg oil terminal was the twentieth successful attack on similar facilities in Russia in the past month.

The Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert (Magyar) Brovdi, published a photo of one of the Ukrainian drones that participated in the attack on the oil terminal in St. Petersburg.

In his Telegram, the SBS commander called the attack on the Russian facility an “anniversary oil tanker.” The drone had an inscription: “Take buckets and put out Peter.”

“A jubilee oil tanker, successfully lit by a freedom-loving Ukrainian bird,” Brovdy wrote.

According to him, the strike on the terminal in St. Petersburg was the 20th successful attack on similar facilities in Russia over the past 33 days – between May 1 and June 3.

Magyar also ironically recalled Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s statement about the “Leningrad street,” which supposedly taught him to “strike first.”

“Places of the dictator’s sacred roots, where “Leningradskaya Streets” 60 years ago taught Vova to strike first,” the SBS commander wrote.

Commenting on Russia’s aggression in Syria, Putin once said: “Leningrad streets taught me one rule: if a fight is inevitable, you must strike first.”
