  1. Even if we take that explanation for serious, actively protecting the shipping lanes in the Black Sea would be the very same issue as the mission near Yemen. Why doesn’t Nato do that? The answer probably is cowardice and political concerns. ☹

    • What political concerns, Mr. Gray? It’s only cowardice. Nothing less, nothing more. Spineless, sackless, dickless cowardice.

      • The political concerns are mostly about European taxpayers not liking to pay more for the military, Mr. Ofp. 🤔

        • The alternative might be picking up a rifle if they don’t want to help defend Europe, by supporting Ukraine.

        • It’s because most Europeans simply can’t comprehend the fact that defense has moved up to be of utmost importance, and this, because we live in a post-post-WWII era since Feb. 2022, which is an era of aggression. Nobody thinks about a time after Ukraine is defeated. Nobody even tries to think, who will stop mafia land after that? Poland? Latvia? Who? And forget about the US.
Europe must either do or eventually die.

    • I’ve mentioned before: The Black Sea is the only body of international waters that the US Navy is unable to access at will under international maritime law.

Turkey controls access to the Black Sea, and all NATO forces are forbidden from entering while the war is going on.

      • This doesn’t prevent Nato air patrols from Romanian air bases, though. Also, imho Nato should help Romania and Bulgaria to strengthen their navies. Those countries are not at war, their ships may pass the Bosporus. 🤨

  2. Even Ukraine’s most ardent foreign supporters: Boris Johnson and Ben Hodges, baulk at allied ground troops and the NFZ.
In that respect they’re on the same page as Jake “no escalation” Sullivan.
Yet Ukraine desperately needs both those things now. How the fucking fuck are they going to stop a horde of 400,000 vermin rampaging through the contact lines this summer?
It may already be too late, you fucking laggards.

  3. The West doesn’t dare to protect Ukrainian skies because they are spineless cowards, aka jellyfish, aka marshmallows. Plain and simple. There is nothing to add.
