Post-war guarantees for Ukraine will be “entirely on the Europeans,” says Trump adviser

The United States is ready to take an active part in resolving the conflict, but everything will depend on Europe, the White House says.

The United States is ready to take active action to end the war in Ukraine , but Europe should take on post-war security guarantees for Kyiv. This was stated by US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz in an interview with NBC .

According to him, next week an American delegation headed by Vice President J.D. Vance will arrive in Europe to discuss ways to end the war. Donald Trump himself is also ready to act, Waltz assured.

“[Trump] has said that Russia’s economy is not in good shape. He is willing to impose tariffs and sanctions. We need to bring all parties to the table and end this war. And this has been mentioned in conversations with President [of China] Xi, with Prime Minister [of India] Modi, with leaders in the Middle East. Everyone is willing to help President Trump end this war. Let’s bring all parties to the table,” Waltz said.

According to him, Trump is ready to discuss these issues next week, including the issue of maintaining American aid to Ukraine.

“We need to offset those costs, and that will be a partnership with the Ukrainians on their minerals, their natural resources, their oil and gas, and on buying our resources,” Waltz said.

At the same time, the US President’s advisor stressed that post-war security guarantees for Ukraine should be taken on by Europe.

“The Europeans must take responsibility for this conflict. President Trump is going to end it. And then, in terms of security guarantees, it will be entirely on the Europeans,” he stressed.

  1. “The Europeans must take responsibility for this conflict. President Trump is going to end it. And then, in terms of security guarantees, it will be entirely on the Europeans,”

If that’s the way it’s going to be, the Europeans should be discussing any peace deal, not the US. If the US are willing to supply Ukraine with up to date weapons for these mineral rights, and not equipment ready for the scrapheap, that might be a better option. Although I don’t see putler wanting any peace deal, his life depends on continuing this war.

  2. So, to make America great again, it means dropping Europe as friends and allies and embrace china and mafia land?
