Petro Poroshenko commented on the decision of the Pechersky District Court of Kiev on the “coal case”. All those present sang the anthem following the speech of the fifth president.

Poroshenko, in his own manner, said that the case against him was the scenario of the current President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. He again declared the need to save the country.

According to the fifth president, the judges released him on a personal commitment, because no one wants to become the second “Radio Kireev”.

“No one wants to become Radion Kireev (Judge of the Pechersk Court, who handled the case of Yulia Tymoshenko, and after the Revolution of Dignity fled to the Russian Federation – UNIAN), who will spend the rest of his life in Russia. The judges understand this. And it is important that Zelensky understand that the transformation Yanukovych and life in Russia are not the Seychelles,” Poroshenko said.

The Poroshenko case – what is known

The decision on the measure of restraint for Poroshenko is chosen  in the framework of the case of a criminal scheme for supplying coal  from the temporarily occupied territories and assisting the terrorist organizations “LPR” and “DPR” by a group of Ukrainian citizens.

The people’s deputy returned to Ukraine a month after he  ignored the handing over of the subpoena  for interrogation at the State Bureau of Investigation.

Poroshenko is suspected that, acting by prior agreement with a group of people, including from among the representatives of the top leadership of the Russian Federation, he contributed to the activities of terrorist organizations “LDNR”.

Criminal proceedings against Poroshenko are being investigated under articles on financing terrorism, treason and the creation of a terrorist organization.
