Prof. Gerdes claims the Colorado court ruling could make people in the middle look at Trump more favorably. How does he know this? It could be the complete opposite. Unless a poll is taken, there is no way to know how these people are thinking. This could also make Trump supporters lose hope and look at other candidates.
He might be right though facts. Unfortunately, Trumpkov enjoys widespread support in far right conspiracy-based sites such as infowars, Breitbart, Gateway Pundit and the worst one: Fucker Karlsonov on Ivan Muscovy’s anti-Ukraine hate site; “Z”; as I call it.
They will all be spinning it as a “deep state conspiracy” and the QAnon fucktards will buy it.
I don’t think there is much confidence at the moment that Trump will even be convicted of anything. Look at how far left lawyers enabled OJ Simpson to beat the rap, even though he was guilty as sin!
I’m sure Trumpkov has some pretty devious lawyers too.
Yes, but OFP is talking about the middle of the spectrum, while Brightbert and the likes are probably the 0,005% amost radical figures in the U.S., not really effecting the elections much.
I have no idea on whether it helps Trump or not. Certainly the most radical people will think Trump is politically persecuted (I think he is not) but they were most likely already voting for him.
But what the majority of the voters will do? I have no idea.
I am afraid that the Constitutional Court in the U.S., which is political as duck, might overturn the ruling in Colorado, as this court is mostly appointed by Republicans.
^bert
They may be Republicans, but they are not going to undermine their branch of authority.
Trump burned through the more knowledgeable, and crafty lawyers. The ones he has scraped up are more just trying to draw things out as long as possible to “milk” him for all he can grift together.
We’ll just have to wait and see about this.
