The offensive operations of the Third Army Corps continue.

As Censor.NET reports,  the commander of the 3rd Army Corps, Brigadier General Andriy Biletsky, reported on the deoccupation of the villages of Shandryholove and Derylove, as well as the establishment of full control over Drobyshev within the framework of Operation Vivaldi.

The Third Corps liberated Shandrygolovo and Derylovo

Thus, another 40 km² of Ukrainian territory was recaptured. During the 1st and 2nd seasons of the offensive operation, the Third Army Corps regained control of 125 km², of which 50 km² were liberated.

“As promised, I have good news to report. During the second season of “Vivaldi,” the Third Army Corps returned another 40 km² of Ukrainian land. Shandrygolovye and Derylove have been liberated. Drobyshevo is under full Ukrainian control. It is worth noting that Shandrygolovye is a critical point for both our troops and the enemy,” said Brigadier General Biletsky.

According to the corps command plan, the villages of Shandrygolovye and Derylove were covered from north to south: the assault groups moved imperceptibly and quickly through the ravines and gullies, which ensured the effect of surprise.

The units operated in close cooperation – while some broke through the defenses, others held the flanks along the demarcation lines, preventing the enemy from counterattacking.

Assault groups were divided into mobile tactical elements that penetrated every forest strip and strongpoint and burned down enemy resistance nodes.

The intention of the commander of the 3rd Army was to consistently destroy the occupiers’ defensive lines and to deeply cover the important defensive node for them, Shandryholovye, which was liberated as a result of such actions.

The assault groups defeated the enemy’s advanced forces, broke through the first line of his defense and established themselves at a designated point. This created a bridgehead for further success.

Biletsky announced over 3,000 Russian losses

During the two seasons of Operation Vivaldi, the enemy lost about 3,000 soldiers.
