One and a half to two months: Syrskyi admitted that the mobilized received insufficient training

The situation at the front makes it impossible to provide recruits with proper training – it takes too much time.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are inferior to the army of the aggressor in all quantitative indicators , and recruits undergo less training than would be desirable. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi told CNN about this in an interview .

“The enemy has an advantage in aviation, in missiles, in artillery, in the amount of ammunition, of course, in personnel, tanks, BMP,” he said.

According to Syrskyi, this circumstance forces Ukraine to be smarter and more effective in waging war.

“We cannot fight as they do, so we must use, first of all, the most effective approach, use our forces and means with the maximum use of the features of the terrain, engineering structures, and also use the technical advantage,” he said, recalling in particular the Ukrainian program of advanced drones.

At the same time, Syrsky considers increasing the number of military personnel to be a priority. According to him, now the new recruits going to the battlefield are getting less training than he would like.

“Of course, everyone wants the level of training to be the best, that’s why we are training highly qualified professional soldiers. At the same time, the dynamics at the front require us to send mobilized men into service as soon as possible,” the commander said.

According to Syrsky, new recruits now undergo one month of basic military training, followed by half a month to a full month of further specialized training before being sent directly to military missions.

Mobilization in Ukraine: the latest news

As UNIAN wrote, the Ukrainian mobilization campaign to replenish exhausted troops is gaining momentum . It is designed to help fill personnel gaps on the front lines in the coming weeks, but some recruits are physically or psychologically unfit for combat.

We also told that the bulk of recruits have not yet reached the front , as their training is still ongoing. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Ukraine cannot throw recruits into battle without training, as Russia does.

  1. Ukraine could have everything it needs if we didn’t have such foolish and spineless “leaders”.

  2. Ukraine needs to train Troops to win.
moskovia just needs them to die.

That’s why there is a training difference.
