On this day in 2014 russians shot down flight MH17, killing 298 innocent people. Russia’s direct involvement and responsibility was proved by the joint investigation team, the details of this crime were revealed to the EU parliament. Russian terrorists tried to disrupt investigation, provided tons of photoshopped fakes to mislead the investigators, and never admitted their guilt.
If serious sanctions were placed on russia already 12 years ago, it might have prevented the full-scale invasion. It wasn’t done, because even today incompetent politicians lack sense of responsibility and strong political will.
