On the evening of July 17, protests are taking place in a number of Ukrainian cities demanding the reinstatement of Mykhailo Fedorov as Minister of Defense. There are also calls for the resignation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky.

Odesa

In particular, a rally in support of former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov is taking place in Odessa. As of 7:50 p.m., more than 500 people have gathered on Deribasovskaya Street.

They hold posters with the inscriptions “Go on vacation when you learn your lesson!”, “For innovations. For Fedorov”, “Fedorov is Action” and “Fedorov is a minister. Yes to reforms.”

Ivano-Frankivsk

In Ivano-Frankivsk, people gathered in the square near the administration building to protest the dismissal of former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. They held posters with the following inscriptions: “Fedorov is the Minister of Defense!”, “Syrskyi is gone!”, “The government is the people!”, “Better drones than people,” “A strong army is a strong Ukraine!”.

As of 8:10 p.m., approximately 300 people had gathered in the square near the administrative building.

People also took to the Dnipro River to protest the resignation of Mykhailo Fedorov as head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine .

About 300 people gathered for the event, and their number is growing. Protesters chant: “There are no vacations during war,” “We need military reform,” “If there is Fedorov, there is hope.”

In addition to Fedorov’s reinstatement as defense minister, there are calls for the resignation of Commander-in-Chief Syrsky. Protesters brought cardboard posters and flags.

Rivne

The protest against the removal of Mikhail Fedorov from the post of Minister of Defense is also ongoing in Rivne. Approximately 100 people have gathered on the city’s Theater Square.

They are holding signs with inscriptions in their hands and shouting “Syrskyi out!”.

People are demanding the reinstatement of Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, the resignation of Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky, as well as the fight against corruption and the formation of a permanent government.

Cherkasy

The action is also ongoing in Cherkasy. About 150 people gathered on the city’s Cathedral Square.

Participants in the action shouted: “We will win the war – you will go on vacation,” “No unilateral decision,” “Release the prisoners, not Fedorov.” Passing cars honked their horns in support.

The new Cabinet and Fedorov’s resignation
