During the night of August 27, Odessa and the Odessa region were under a massive combined attack by the Russian occupiers for more than 7 hours. As an UNIAN correspondent reports, explosions and shooting could be heard in Odessa throughout the night.

“For more than 7 hours, the Odessa region was under a massive combined attack by the enemy. Throughout the night, the Russians purposefully struck the civilian infrastructure of the region with missiles and drones,” emphasized the head of the Odessa OVA, Oleg Kiper.

According to him, a 16-story residential building, two educational institutions, and a private home were damaged. Infrastructure facilities, the territory of the elevator, garages, and residents’ cars were also damaged. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties.

All emergency and municipal services are working at the sites of the strikes. Law enforcement agencies are documenting the consequences of war crimes committed by the Russian Federation against the civilian population of the Odessa region.

As the head of the Odessa MVA, Serhiy Lysak, clarified , the enemy terrorized Odessa almost all night and morning. The attack damaged infrastructure, an educational institution, and a multi-story building in the city.

According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region, fires broke out in several places in the region as a result of the hits. The fire engulfed the roof of a garage and dry grass, as well as outbuildings on the territory of a gas station.

“Other locations damaged include the glazing, facade and roof of a 16-story residential building, a private house with a garage, an educational institution building, and nearby cars,” rescuers said.

According to the press service of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, damage was also recorded to port infrastructure facilities, the facade, glazing of one of the college buildings, etc. A pre-trial investigation into the facts of war crimes has been launched (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
