The prosecutor’s office opened criminal proceedings into the shooting by the occupiers of a disabled person near an occupied hospital in Volchansk .

According to the Kharkov Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Telegram , monitoring of social networks, namely the Telegram channel of journalist Andrey Tsaplienko, discovered a publication in which it is said that aerial reconnaissance officers, while monitoring the airspace over the city of Volchansk, Kharkov region, discovered the body of a deceased man in a wheeled chair not far from the local hospital, which was captured by the occupiers.

“Law enforcement officers are considering the theory that the victim tried to get away from the medical facility, but the Russian Armed Forces shot him and left him standing in a wheel chair in the middle of a broken street,” the report says.

Prosecutors of the Kharkov Regional Prosecutor’s Office entered information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations into violation of the laws and customs of war, coupled with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Earlier, Bild reported that Russian troops had seized a hospital in the center of Volchansk and published a video of the assault.

On the evening of May 16, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that the Defense Forces managed to “add confidence in the Volchansk region of the Kharkov region.” At the same time, he emphasized that Russia is trying to expand the war, and always accompanies this with empty words about peace.
