Currently, the aggressor country has very few opportunities to shoot down our drones, says Mykhailo Zhirokhov.
The nighttime UAV attack on Moscow and other regions of the Russian Federation is currently a probing of Russian air defenses for further strikes on May 8 and 10, military expert Mikhail Zhirokhov believes. He said this on Radio NV , commenting on the massive attack on Moscow, Moscow region and other regions of the Russian Federation carried out by Ukraine tonight.

“The fact that the Russians will pull out everything they can was an obvious step. The fact that they have very few opportunities to shoot down our drones is also obvious. Because the more powerful S-300, S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems simply do not react to them. A large number of, first of all, anti-aircraft guns, anti-aircraft machine guns are needed. This is what we have already gone through during the period when we formed mobile fire groups,” Zhirokhov noted.
The expert is convinced that Ukraine is unlikely to attack the Russian Federation on May 9, but it is quite possible that it will happen on May 8 and 10.
“Currently, this is a kind of probing of Russian air defense in order to find the optimal routes for delivering at least psychological and media strikes. It is not yet clear whether there will be strikes on specific military facilities. But in psychological terms, this is a very important operation,” Zhirokhov explained.
