45% of Russian citizens consider the goal of the Ukrainian-Russian war to be the trial of “Ukrainian Nazis”.
This is reported by the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion.
“The majority of Russians believe that there are organizations in Ukraine professing the ideology of Nazism (88%). They believe that they do not exist, 4%, another 8% could not answer,” the organization noted.
76% of respondents believe that supposedly Ukrainian Nazi organizations pose a threat to Russia and Russian citizens, 14% hold the opposite position, 6% could not answer, 4% did not answer this question.
70% of Russians agree that the Ukrainian authorities “rather support Nazi organizations”, while 8% agree that they rather do not support them. Another 14% believe that the Ukrainian leadership does not notice them. It is difficult to give an answer – 8%.
One of the results of the so-called “Russian special operation” in Ukraine, 45% of Russians see the trial of allegedly “Ukrainian Nazis” for crimes committed, 39% – Ukraine’s refusal to join NATO and its declaration of the status of a neutral country.
A third of the respondents believe that the result should be the recognition of the independence of the pseudo-republics of the “LPR” and “DPR” by Ukraine. According to 32% of Russian citizens, the result of the special operation was the consolidation of the non-nuclear status of Ukraine and the introduction of criminal liability for alleged propaganda of Nazism in Ukraine.
The sociological survey took place on 18 April. 1,600 Russians over the age of 18 were interviewed by telephone interviews. Sociologists note that for this sample, the maximum size of the error with a probability of 95% does not exceed 2.5%.
