A significant number of military personnel and equipment of units of the 137th parachute regiment of Russian invaders were destroyed in the Bakhmut direction .

This is stated in the message on the page of the General Staff in Facebook.

“According to the available information, the destruction of a significant number of servicemen and military equipment of a unit of the 137th parachute regiment of the 106th parachute division of the armed forces of the Russian Federation in the Bakhmut direction has been confirmed,” the report says.

It is noted that significant losses do not allow this unit to continue combat operations without additional measures.

As UNIAN previously reported, the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues along the entire front line. In turn, the invaders abandon their positions and flee to Russia.

The paratroopers of the 25th separate airborne brigade of the Sicheslav Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told how they liberated the Kharkiv region , in particular, the city of Izyum. According to them, the invaders abandoned their equipment, finished off their wounded and scattered through the forests.

As of September 14, Ukrainian fighters have eliminated about 53,650 Russian invaders .
