“I have just concluded my telephone conversation with President Vladimir Putin of Russia, and it was a very productive one. President Putin congratulated me and the United States on the Great Accomplishment of Peace in the Middle East, something that, he said, has been dreamed of for centuries. I actually believe that the Success in the Middle East will help in our negotiation in attaining an end to the War with Russia/Ukraine. President Putin thanked the First Lady, Melania, for her involvement with children. He was very appreciative, and said that this will continue. We also spent a great deal of time talking about Trade between Russia and the United States when the War with Ukraine is over. At the conclusion of the call, we agreed that there will be a meeting of our High Level Advisors next week. The United States’ initial meetings will be led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, together with various other people to be designated. A meeting location is to be determined. President Putin and I will then meet in an agreed upon location, Budapest, Hungary, to see if we can bring this ‘inglorious’ War between Russia and Ukraine to an end. President Zelenskyy and I will be meeting tomorrow in the Oval Office, where we will discuss my conversation with President Putin, and much more. I believe great.”

Two observations:
- Trump actually seems to think he has achieved peace between Hamas and Israel. I think that assertion is premature at best.
- It’s clear that Putin handles Trump like a child and patronizes him with nonsense. Obviously, Putin is not sincere when he pretends to appreciate Melania bringing attention to the abducted Ukrainian children that are at the centre of war crime charges against him.

Hether Beck : The promise of tomahawks to Ukraine are what made Putin reach for the phone. Not impossible Putin will suggest a ceasefire which Trump will mistake for a peace deal that he can crow about. A nice break to rearm, absorb the Cubans and build up for a major offensive next year would suit him just fine.

Horseshoe Theory
Far-right and far-left are often portrayed as polar opposites. In reality, they are two sides of the same coin. The fact that both camps are sympathetic to russia is just another nail in this coffin.
In political science, this is known as horseshoe theory — the idea that the extreme left and extreme right, rather than being at opposite ends of a straight political spectrum, actually curve toward one another, much like the ends of a horseshoe. They mirror each other in their hostility to democracy, rejection of the center, and willingness to excuse or enable authoritarian regimes.
The clearest historical example is the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact, when Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union signed a non-aggression agreement that allowed them to divide Poland between them.
Today, history is repeating itself. The far-right and far-left have found common ground once again — this time in opposing aid to Ukraine and appeasing the aggressor. Both movements reveal themselves as equally dangerous, immoral, and fundamentally anti-civilization.

Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia are preparing for war with russia. A potential scenario: a full-scale invasion within 3 to 7 days.
The countries are developing evacuation plans for one million people. Near the russian and belarusian borders, schools, churches, and sports arenas are being converted into shelters, Reuters reports.
In Lithuania, evacuation routes have been prepared for 400,000 residents of border areas. In Kaunas — the country’s second-largest city — spaces for 300,000 people are already ready. Beds, food, and fuel supplies are being stocked.
Estonia plans to relocate 140,000 citizens (10% of its population) to temporary shelters. In Narva, a Russian-speaking border town with a population of 50,000, the government is preparing to move two-thirds of the residents inland.
In Latvia, authorities expect up to 600,000 people to evacuate in the first days of a potential attack. Civilian convoys will be routed along secondary roads so that the main highways remain open for NATO units.
None of the three countries plans to evacuate people outside their own territory. The only route to Poland runs through the 65-kilometer Suwałki corridor — a narrow stretch that NATO fears could be lost in the first hours of a potential invasion.
Lithuanian security adviser Kęstutis Budrys said: “We have planned everything — evacuation routes, fuel reserves, shelters. We are ready for the worst-case scenario if russia attacks.”

A typical “good russian” attacks a Ukrainian family on a train in Europe.
I’ve long advocated for banning “russian tourists” from the EU and the US. Several EU countries have already done it — Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, and now Norway. Yet “russian tourists” still find their way into Europe through other countries.
First, russian “tourists” pose a real security threat to the EU. The number of sabotage attempts against European infrastructure has skyrocketed over the past three years.
Do you know what else has skyrocketed during that time? The number of russian tourists traveling across Europe.
Second, it’s plainly inhumane toward Ukrainians who, after escaping the war, end up being harassed — or even killed — by russians in Europe. There are dozens of documented cases of murder, rape, and kidnapping of Ukrainian women and children by so-called “russian tourists.”
Finally, legitimate asylum seekers can always be allowed to cross the border without a visa. But those russians who truly wanted to flee russia have already done so.

Markus Stefka One thing to observe is the absolute poise and self-control exhibited by the Ukrainian guy, even though his children were in the background, who can probably understand Russian. Absolutely typical, despicable behaviour from a muscovite.
