MH17 crash: Putin faces lawsuit for permission to use Buk in Donbas

Relatives of crash’s victims demand $330 million compensation from Russia and its president

Lawyer Jerry Skinner filed the lawsuit against Russia and its President Vladimir Putin on behalf of 40 families of the relatives of the victims of MH17 crash to the European Court of Human Rights as Deutsche Welle reported.

“Such weapon as Buk missile system, from which MH17 flight was downed, could not leave the territory of Russia without the permission of the officials. Probably, we will head the names of the advisors close to Putin who maintained close links with actors in the east of Ukraine.  I believe we will hear about Putin. According to my opinion, such a powerful and high-tech weapon could not leave the territory of the Russian Federation if it was not approved at the highest level. It took place as it took place. That is why Putin provided permission for it. We can tell it with certainty,” Skinner said.

Simultaneously with the trial in the Netherlands, which has started on Monday, March 9, on the accusation of three Russians and one Ukrainian of the downing of MH17 plane; lawyer Jerry Skinner filed the lawsuit Putin on behalf of 40 families of the relatives of the victims of MH17 crash to the European Court of Human Rights against Russia and Vladimir Putin. The affected people demand $330 million compensation from Russia.

On March 9, the first court session on MH17 case took place in The Hague. No defendants appeared at the court. As it is known, Russians Sergey Dubinsky, Igor Girkin and Oleg Pulatov and Ukrainian Leonid Kharchenko are the suspects in the case.

Boeing 777 of Malaysian Airlines, flight number MH17 was destroyed while performing a regular flight from the Netherlands to Malaysia in July 2014. The tragedy took place in the sky over the militant-held section of the Donetsk region. All 298 people aboard deceased; most of the victims, 196, were Dutch, but there were citizens of another nine countries as well.

Skinner has the right idea, sue the guy ultimately responsible for MH17 being brought down. Muscovy have already interfered with Skinner, in 2016 his office was trashed, and the only things missing, were his files on MH17.

    • Maybe that suit will finally give the fascist imperialist the title of State Sponsor of Terrorism. It’s long overdue. Then the little zit can be personally sanctioned like Gaddafi or Saddam. .

      • I would love to have seen the reaction of the ECHR when the lawsuit arrived on their desk. Plenty of hand wringing, accompanied by the smell of shit I imagine.
