The president is prone to impulsive decisions, so this informal rule is used by most of his aides.

Some advisers to US President Donald Trump have an informal rule of not doing anything he says until he says it twice, The Atlantic reports , citing its own sources.

One of the advisers explained to the publication that this is a necessary and important rule because President Trump “does a lot of stupid things.”

The advisers used this rule when Trump mentioned his desire to head the Kennedy Center for the second time. Only after the second instruction did the aides get to work.

“In early February, Trump fired most of the board of directors (of the Kennedy Center – UNIAN) and appointed himself chairman. Immediately, his cultural powers shifted from entertaining aides playing old songs on his iPad in the Mar-a-Lago courtyard to chairman of the board of one of the country’s major cultural institutions,” the publication noted.
